We are seeking a Research Associate for our Biomarkers and Investigative Pathology Team located in Mattawan, MI.
The Research Associate in Biomarkers and Investigative Pathology assignments may vary. The individual in the Research Associate role may be responsible for any or all of the following: supporting laboratory staff in the preparation for and execution of study functions, maintaining laboratory supplies and instruments, and assisting with method validations and analyses for research studies using investigational pathology platforms, such as, immunohistochemistry, immunoassay biomarkers, and/or flow cytometry.
The following are the minimum requirements related to the Research Associate position.
Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience, Associates Degree with 0-1 years of relevant experience, or HS/ GED with 3-5 years relevant experience; contract research organization experience preferred.
Experience with immunohistochemistry, immunoassay biomarkers, and/or flow cytometry and experience with validation, method development, and quality of data produced from study samples is preferred.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system.
Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts; sometimes on short notice.
Ability to work under specific time constraints.
