Come grow with us!/ememand#160;/emspanGeneral Purpose and Scope of Position:and#160;/spanWilbur-Ellis is seeking and Agriculture Field Scout to be responsible for pest trap placement and monitoring/recording pest activity of various crops and pests. The Field Scout works closely with the field sales and the operations support team. This is a seasonal position.spanKey Skills and Abilities Include:/spanulliCollege student majoring in Agriculture, Plant Science, or Horticulture/liliKnowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)/liliIntermediate level proficiency with standard software including MS Office Suite/liliAbility to safely operate a company vehicle within state laws and company policies and guidelines/liliRequires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees/liliAbility to repetitively bend, kneel and walk long distances while working in a non-climate controlled environment and outside in inclement weatherand#160;/liliExcellent math skills and the ability to maintain accurate counts/liliDependability/reliability. Occasionally may need to work Saturdays./liliGood interpersonal skills/liliWillingness and desire to work overtime hours during busy seasonsand#160;/li/ulspanKey Personal Attributes Include: /spanulliProven leadership ability including the ability to build relationships with cross-functional team members including Product Specialists/liliExcellent written and verbal and presentation communication skills/liliStrong time management skills with the ability to set priorities/liliSkill in creative and critical thinking to achieve goalsand#160;/liliAbility to remain detail-oriented with a wide range of responsibilitiesul/ul/li/ulspanSpecific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include: /spanulliPrepare traps for placement in the field/liliInstall traps in fields. Inspect and monitor on a weekly basis./liliMaintain data counts of the number of pests trapped/liliUse GPS technology to map fields/liliComply with company safety standards/liliTake soil samples as needed or directed by sales/liliScout crops for economic pests and report to appropriate Sales Representativeand#160;/li/ulspanCompensation and Benefits:/spanulliand#160;Competitive hourly wage (to be determined based on experience and other factors)/liliBenefit package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, Employee Assistance Program, vacation, sick time, life insurance, + more); Pension Plan, 401k match up to 3%/liliDrug Free
